Summary

Chapter 11

When they arrive back at Goldy’s house Julian and Arch are in the kitchen. Julian makes them all omelets for breakfast while Goldy checks her voice-mail and finds a message from Father Pete, asking if Goldy had thought about working with Kathie Beliar – who had called him again – on catering the fundraising dinner at St. Luke’s Sunday night. There is also a message from Patsie Boatfield, asking Goldy to call her. Marla, who hears the messages, says that she will deal with Father Pete, and calls him on her cell. A few minutes later Marla announces that everything is taken care of, and then heads down into the basement of the house with Goldy so they can call Patsie in private.
