Chapter 13-15 Summary

Jaxom awakens to find he is sick and being cared for. What he believed to be a cold was fire-head and nearly killed him when Ruth took him between. Ruth had enough sense to get help for Jaxom when other dragons would have been lost without their rider. Jaxom is nursed by Brekke and Sharra. It is days before he can open his eyes because fire-head often causes blindness. Jaxom is forced to stay in bed and take it easy for some time. He begins to develop feelings for Sharra and is thankful he is far enough away from Corana to easily break off their relationship.

Lytol shows up to check on Jaxom and embraces Jaxom. It is clear to Jaxom that Lytol cares for him much more than he knew. Sharra tells Jaxom that he was sick with the fever...
