Chapter 12 Summary

The next morning, Reacher and Harper are on a commercial airline to Spokane, where Lamarr's stepsister lives. On the plane, Reacher pushes the point that the killer is a very, very, very smart guy to beat all of the forensic tests three times. He tells Harper there is something the FBI is not factoring in about the killer, but he won't tell Harper what it is.

They land in Seattle, where a local agent escorts them to a private Cessna to fly them to Spokane. When they land in Spokane, a car drives them out to a ranch, where Lamarr's stepsister lives. They knock on the door and eventually hear creaking floorboards from inside the house. after producing her FBI badge to the spyhole, Harper tells Alison Lamarr that they are the agents that made an appointment with her yesterday.

She lets them in and serves them...
