Chapters 13-15 Summary

In Chapter 13, Lace talks to Mama and tells her he believes that Baker killed Dido because he ran. Mama tells Lace that Baker ran out of fear and not guilt. At Frannie's, Hardy wakes from a night of lovemaking and finds himself confused by his feelings for Frannie as well as his feelings for Jane. Frannie assures him that their relationship does not necessarily have to be forever. Hardy leaves Frannie and goes to see Baker in the hospital. Hardy is thrown for a loop when Baker claims to have been taken to Ingraham's by Ingraham himself, but did not ever see a woman there.
