The Struggle, Chapters 15-16 Summary

In the penultimate chapter of The Struggle, the second book of The Vampire Diaries, we find Elena in a hot row with her Aunt Judith and almost - Uncle Robert over whether she is allowed to marry Stefan or not. They both state that she is not, and that Stefan is the cause of all of these problems in her life, if not also in the town. Angry and alone, Elena screams in front of the whole town that they they are not her parents and that she will do just what she wants. She leaves the celebration trying to find Stefan, but instead finds Matt and, on a wild feeling, asks if she can borrow his car.
