Summary

In Chapter 14, the next morning, Molly’s grandmother helps her with centerpieces for her parents’ wedding. While they are painting, Cassie runs downstairs announcing that she is going out. When Nadine tells her she needs to be back in time for dinner Nadine gets angry because Cassie begins texting on her phone instead of talking to her. Cassie tries to defend herself by telling Nadine she was texting to tell Mina she had to be home at six but Nadine does not like her tone of voice and tells her she has to stay home. Molly asks Cassie if she wants to help paint but Cassie turns her down. She wants to hang out with her girlfriend, not paint jars with her sister and grandmother.
