Greenwich Middle School

Greenwich Middle School is located in the suburbs of Connecticut. Almost all the action in the novel takes place in the school, and all the characters are connected to the school in one way or another. The school is located right next to a river, which is where the students take the vuvuzelas to dispose of them in honor of Mr. Kermit. The school is run by the superintendent, Dr. Thaddeus, who has a terrible teaching philosophy in regard to underachieving students. Instead of helping them, the administration bunches the students together and places them in an isolated classroom where they are out of the way until they are passed onto the high school.
