Chapters 30-38 Summary

In Chapter 30, Anna has sex with Peter Jordan and while he is sleeping, begins her work as a spy. She is able to enter his safe and she takes photographs and impressions of his house keys. Jordan is completely unaware and they make plans to meet the next night. Anna makes her connection with Neumann. Neumann completes his assignments, enjoying his brief time in London, and then goes back to the Dougherty farm. Anna is amazed at how much she likes being with Jordan, but she does not let it dissuade her from her mission. As she was in his study, she kept her gun on the table, ready to kill Jordan if he had entered the room before she was finished.
