Chapters 49 through 54 Summary

The Changeling opens with chapter forty-nine. Sara wakes from a dream in which she's trying to tell Hollis they are going to have a baby. Sara is desperate for more time with Kate and the two are quickly bonding. When Kate wakes, she's excited about the snow and Sara, after getting Lila's morning routine started, takes Kate out to play in it. Sara manages to get a message out to Eustace's group and they reveal that she's right about Kate's true identity. According to Nina, Kate will escape the city only if Sara goes through with the plan Nina and Eustace are putting in place. She also learns about the Source, which is Grey, and that they feed him human blood and take his blood to keep the red-eyes going. All the red-eyes are ageless but have to have Grey's blood...
