Summary

In Chapter Two: A Voice for Justice, Kamala, and her mother went to her headquarters in Bayview Hunters Point. This used to be a shipyard but was abandoned after the war. At the time the book was written, it was controlled by violence and is ignored by the rest of the city. Despite the location, volunteers from all walks of life came to support her. Once, she set up an ironing board with flyers at a supermarket and wanted people to remember her.
