Summary

Jonathan finds some old audio recordings of Jane’s father. Jonathan, Jane, and Adam listen to the recordings together. Soon, Jane sops the recording, apparently unable to listen to more. A few days later, Adam overheard his parents yelling at each other and arguing. Some of their stress appeared related to the fact that Adam would soon be moving out to attend college. It soon becomes apparent to the reader—although maybe not apparent to Adam—that Jane may have recently discovered Jonathan and Sima’s affair. Jane then spoke briefly with Adam, saying that everything was fine. However, Jane then left the house and drove away in her car. Adam then spent some time on the family computer—writing poetry on the word processing application and then looking at pornographic images. A little later, Adam left the house to go to a party...
