Summary

The group manages to find a truck and travel down to a river. They borrow canoes and Percy uses his power over water to help the group travel. He and Zoe talk along the way. Percy tries to reassure her that she wasn’t responsible for Bianca, but Zoe argues that Bianca was only there because of her. Percy pulls out his sword, realizing that it is the weapon from his dream, and the person who made it was a younger Zoe. Zoe reveals that she did make it years ago, breaking the rules against helping a hero.

The group arrives at the Hoover Dam, where Percy is momentarily pulled aside by the serpent he saved earlier. The creature warns Percy that the skeletal monsters the General summoned are back on their trail. Percy tries to find his friends, but ends up being chased...
