Police Chief Mikael Bellman

Police Chief Mikael Bellman is a highly motivated and ambitious man. He wants the vampirism case solved because he is afraid that it will interfere with him getting the job as Justice Minister. Because of his ambition, Mikael makes many bad decisions. In order to help himself get the Justice Minister position, Mikael is using Isabel as a sort of publicity manager. She tells him what he should and should not do. This relationship causes friction in Mikael’s marriage to Ulla because Ulla suspects that Mikael is having an affair with Isabel.
