Summary

In Chapter 21, Harry bought the debt on the Jealousy Bar and offered to sell Mehmet back ownership in the bar if Mehmet would work as a spy at a Turkish bathhouse that Valentin was said to visit frequently. Meanwhile, Mona Daa arrived at work the morning after she was supposed to meet with the vampirist. Several of her coworkers had been emailed a picture of her standing in the cage. She realized she had been tricked.

Harry met with his group of detectives again concerning Marte’s disappearance. The only thing in common with that crime and the others was the “V” written on the table. Because it was the table where Harry generally sat, he was afraid that the crime might be about him. Smith agreed that the kidnapping probably was about Harry and that it showed that Valentin was losing...
