Chapters 31-35 Summary

Senator Clark meets with Peter Cameron. Cameron tells him he has received a phone call from Mitch threatening his life. Clark tells him to kidnap Anna Rielly and then perhaps they can trap him. As Cameron leaves, Clark thinks about someone called the Colonel, who has accepted a contract to kill Cameron.

After work, two FBI agents stop Anna Rielly. Agent Pelachuck tells her they need to take her in for some questioning. Anna wants to know what the hell it is all about, and he tells her it is something to do with her boyfriend. She insists on knowing exactly what, and they tell her Mitch wants to see her tonight, but that he has to be careful because people are trying to hurt him. Anna decides to go with them, but before she leaves, she phones Liz O'Rourke to say everything is returning...
