Chapters Twenty and Twenty-One Summary

Boaz and Jack get a kick out of Levi's shaved head. They laugh until they cry seeing the kid with the long hair nearly bald. Jack tells Levi that he's going with them in the morning. Jack hasn't been cleared to leave the hospital yet and he hasn't been given the green light to ride in his wheelchair six miles to the Mall. The injury to Jack is obvious. Jack asks Levi how Boaz is. Levi answers honestly and says he needs some help. Boaz indicates that he'll seek help after the mission is completed.

Jack is strong but it takes a lot of strength to wheel himself for such a long distance. He's glad to be free again—free to know that a truck load of insurgents isn't coming at them or that a bomb...
