Chapters Sixteen and Seventeen Summary

Levi wakes up early the next morning and runs outside with his backpack. He finds Christina's letter and calls her. Levi tells her that he's with Boaz and they are heading to Washington, DC. He wants to know if she broke up with him. He tells her he thinks that maybe the problem with Boaz is her. Maybe he found out where she's living and he's coming there to get her or back or prove something. Christina tells him that their break-up was complicated. They were in love in high school. Since then, they've matured and gone in different directions. She cares for him but she is certain that whatever is troubling Boaz has nothing to do with her.

Inside Levi has coffee with Paul and Boaz. He wonders where Celine is and if he'll see her...
