Summary

In the story “Cell One” the narrator recounts how her family’s house was first robbed by Osita, a neighbor. The second time it was robbed it was done by her brother who broke into the house while his parents were away visiting their hometown of Mbaise. The narrator and Nnamabia had gone to church alone that Sunday. Nnamabia had left church at the beginning of the service and didn’t return to church until almost the end of services. When they arrived home it was Nnamabia who discovered the “robbery”. The only thing missing was their mother’s collection of jewelry. The narrator knew her brother was responsible.
