Summary

In the section “Venom” Suzy wrote another note to Jamie telling him that she thought they both understood that just because a creature had venom didn’t make it bad. It was the more fragile creatures that had the most need to protect themselves.

In “Look at Me” Suzy closes her locker and walks toward homeroom when she sees Franny walk up. She doesn’t turn around when the other kids start shouting and laughing when they see that Franny’s locker is soaked with urine. Suzy waits to turn around and looks up when she knows the students are moving away. Franny’s shoulders are rounded as if she is crying.
