Kentucky - Larson Farm

Ade grows up on the Larson Farm in Kentucky. The abandoned house with the Door to the Written is on a piece of property adjacent to the farmland. Ade first meets Yule Ian when he stumbles through this door into her world. She returns three days later to discover that the Door has been destroyed. When Ade leaves home to find another portal to Yule Ian’s world, she builds a door, which she paints blue, to memorialize what happened there.

When January is seven, she happens to find this same piece of property where her mother met Yule Ian. January is disappointed when the blue door leads nowhere.
