The King of the Sea (King)

The King of the Sea is the sail boat that Emily and her family own. It has peeling paint and beds too small to be comfortable in, but it was home for Emily and her mother. The galley or kitchen is in the middle and has a small fridge, a sink and a cooking surface.

Speedo Cozzy

Emily wears a brand new speedo cozzy in the water when she begins her swimming lessons.

Year Seven

The first Wednesday of Year Seven is when Emily takes her first swimming lesson and learns something new about herself.

Jetties

Jetties are located all along the pier and Emily’s family’s boat “The King of the Sea” is on one side with three others including a white speed-boat and two larger yachts that are not being lived on.
