Summary

Panicking, Emily tells Shona they have to leave. Shona follows as Emily races ahead, so intent on getting out that she passes the broken portal and has to turn back. Shona stops her and points out a manhole sized door in the floor. She manages to convince Emily to wait long enough to take a quick look inside, and help her pull the handle up.

They swim down a dark corridor until a large fish swims out towards Emily’s face, surprising her so much that she screams and, forgetting everything else, heads for the exit. Back on Rainbow Rocks they sit, Shona still registering surprise as Emily’s legs return. She asks her what happened in the ship, but Emily isn’t sure herself.

After a bit of encouragement, Emily finds herself confiding in Shona, and when she finishes Shona looks away...
