Mohammad “Mo” Khan

Mohammad “Mo” Khan is an American man of Muslim heritage, although he does not practice his religion very devoutly. He is a professional architect who lives in New York City, and he has ambitious career goals. He is a mild-mannered and decent man. When his anonymous design submission is chosen for the 9/11 memorial, Mo is excited, but he is quickly dismayed by the immense public backlash against his design due to his Muslim heritage. Mo desires for his memorial design to be used, both on principle that he won the competition, and because it would be a boon to his career and professional credentials.
