Summary

Chapter 20 is focused on Harvey. Harvey, in the wake of the fall of Dwight’s Yoda, makes one for himself. This Yoda gives out horrible and mean advice. When Tommy asks about Sara, Harvey says that she hates him and laughs behind his back.

Analysis

This is the point in the story where Harvey goes straight from a pessimistic character to full blown antagonist. Harvey makes a Yoda just to show everyone how silly they are and ends up really hurting Tommy’s feelings about himself and Sara. Harvey’s Yoda advice stems from the fact that Harvey made a Yoda out of negative feelings. Because the Yoda is made with negative feelings it also gives out negative advice to people. Harvey’s reasoning behind making a Yoda reveals the fact that perhaps he is jealous of the attention that such a weird kid...
