Summary

In Chapter 28, Owen and Charm reach a cave, which is the next step in their quest to find the Seventh Key. Owen points out that they always face danger when Charm says “How hard can it be” (232) and asks her to stop saying it. Charm's light devices fail and Owen uses a light spell to help them see in the cave. Charm believes the cave is a trap but forges ahead. Owen hopes the book is nearing the end, because he is no longer having as much fun as he expected. Owen wonders why Nobody has not returned, and he hopes the book is nearly over. They finally find something, though it is not the vault they expected. Owen wishes nothing bad would happen. They find a lot of dilapidated robots and the skeleton of the man they know to be the First...
