Edgar Summary

Edgar heads to the barn and begins searching for the bottle. But he is trapped by Glen who proceeds to knock him out with ether. Glen then attempts to revive Edgar, but gets quicklime in his eyes. Ether fumes rise up to the hot lights. Edgar struggles to free the dogs and Glen scrambles out into the yard.

Edgar Analysis

Glen's attempt to kidnap and revive Edgar has disastrous consequences, as Glen inadvertently sets the barn on fire, and blinds himself in the process. Now, not only are the lives of the dogs threatened, but the records of the family business and the business's existence are also threatened.
