Summary

They leave the cafe and Lila is overwhelmed with emotion at kissing Nino. She specifically says, "I'm not like Pinuccia, I can do what I want." She goes on about Nino for most of the night while Elena listens. Eventually she tells Lila that Stefano will be there soon and they will have to return to reality. Lila lashes out and defends Nino, accusing Elena of always disparaging him. It is too much for Elena, who has been defending him to her all summer. Elena explodes and reminds her that Pinuccia was behaving better than she.
