Summary

The husbands arrive and Lila is even more affectionate than the previous weekend. Pina is happy to see Rino, and immediately begs him to take her away. The ensuing discussion is tense. Rino loses his temper and Stefano takes Lila out to dinner. Rino and Pina disappear into the bedroom. Elena is forced to console Nunzia, saying it must be the pregnancy. Late in the night, Lila comes into Elena's room. She tells her that Nino kissed her.

In Chapter 56, Lila explains the event in further detail. They were swimming, Lila had leaned against Nino for support and he had kissed her. She had pushed him away and Nino had told her how long he had loved her. Lila responded never to do that again.
