Summary

Lila teases Elena, that she conned her into visiting Ischia so she could see Nino. Elena refuses to admit this. The girls find the Sarratorre family on the beach. The girls immediately start good conversations with Donato and Lidia and the younger kids, and eventually, way out at sea, Elena glimpses Nino swimming. At the time, Donato is helping Lila learn to swim, and when Nino sees the girls, he's a little bit rude. He gives Elena his address and leaves without saying goodbye.

In Chapter 44, Lila and Pinuccia are dissatisfied with Nino's manners, but think Donato is wonderful. ELena doesn't want to defend Nino, but she wants the girls to understand how awful Donato is.
