Importance: This is one of Jacob's thoughts as he tries to make sense of his memories of the accident and his mother's disappearance. He considers this a “rogue” thought and dismisses it as a false memory. Much later, he discovers that there was a creature, and that both he and his mother are warriors for the Soulkeepers.
