Chapter 3 Pages 235-257 Summary

Eli and Charlie start to make their way into Warm and Morris' camp. Suddenly, Charlie points out that there are men with guns coming into the camp from the opposite side. Eli recognizes the two men as the blue-eyed brothers he met previously upriver. When the two brothers start to talk to Morris and Warm, everyone realizes that Warm and Hollow are drunk.

The larger of the two brothers says Warm and Morris have had too much to drink. The brothers say they will come back later. Morris screams out to Warm, but Warm shoots the bigger brother in the face.
