Chicago

Chicago, Illinois, is the main setting for the story. This is where Todd and Jodi met and where they have lived together for 20 years. Todd's real estate development business is also based in Chicago.

The condo

Much of the story takes place at Todd and Jodi's condo in Chicago. It is located on the waterfront where they walk their dog every day. The condo is beautifully appointed and a sanctuary for the couple from the world. Jodi also sees her clients for sessions at the condo.

Todd's office

Todd's real estate development office is located in a four-story building he has renovated. His space there is relatively small but contains offices for himself and his secretary, Stephanie.

The Drake Hotel

Todd spends a good bit of time at the bar at the Drake Hotel. It is somewhere he goes when he is not ready to go home either...
