Summary

Laura and Enza take a break from their dogged pursuit of jobs and apartments to enjoy Columbus Day in Little Italy where there is an outpouring of cultural, culinary, and ethnic gifts. Laura is shocked when Enza tells her that her boyfriend from the old country, Ciro, is actually living and working in Little Italy. Enza says it's been a few years since she's heard from Ciro, and Laura asks where he works. When Enza tells Laura that Ciro works at Zanetti Shoe Shop, Laura grabs her by the hand and drags her down the street to the shop. They introduce themselves to Carla Zanetti and tell her they are from the same mountain as Ciro. Signora Zanetti gestures toward the street revelers and says, "We're all from the same mountain!" Enza reminds Carla that they met in the hospital...
