The aunt had taken a walk to get some fresh air and time to herself. As she was out walking she came upon a pond that looked very familiar. She remembered an October long past when she was alone out on the ice and a man appeared on the ice wearing fishing boots and unbuttoning his pants. She tried to keep away from him as long as possible but knew what was inevitable. This time she did not go down to the pond.
