Summary

Part Three, Chapter Thirty opens in the past as Paul and Jenny enjoy time together in her mother’s house. The two decided to go to Paul’s house on Friday to get some more privacy. Jenny showed Paul the anthology from the competition as she won the contest. However, Paul was horrified to find that Jenny’s story was titled Red Hands. She asked him what was wrong and he told her he was going to read the story. He explains that it was about a young boy who heard a man calling him from the woods. He followed the sound until he eventually found the man in a clearing. The man is described as having red hands from the self-inflicted wound on his wrists. The boy sat with the man until the boy’s father spoke. Paul told Jenny the story...
