St. Kilda’s

St. Kilda’s is an elite private school for girls. It is where a good deal of the action takes place. Conway and Moran travel to this school where they interview eight girls believed to have access to a bulletin board called the Secret Place. A card bearing a picture of Chris and the words “I know who killed him” (10) were posted on this board. All of their interviews take place either in the rooms of the school building and adjoining boarders’ wing or on the grounds of this school. A year before Conway and Moran’s investigation, the body of Chris Harper was found on the grounds of St. Kilda’s. He had been killed by a blow to the head with a hoe.
