Harvard

Harvard is where Marston was educated. It is there he developed an interest in psychology and law, developing his lie detector test. He also developed some enemies, such as his former academic advisor, who later actively tried to block Marston from gaining an academic appointment at Harvard. It is also at Harvard where Marston became involved with feminism and the suffrage movement.

Radcliffe College

Radcliffe College is the women's college associated with Harvard (women were not allowed to attend Harvard). It is here Marston studied under Dr. Hugo Müsterberg and refined his interest in psychology. He used the women of Radcliffe as test subjects while developing his lie detector test.

Mount Holyoke College
