Summary

Chapter 47

In Chapter 47, Puck is nervous about riding a capaill, especially this one, but she mounts and holds the reins while Sean climbs up behind her. Sean admits that Puck is the only person he has allowed to hold Corr. As Corr moves, Puck feels amazing, and when Sean asks if she is afraid, she denies it, though she is not sure what emotion she feels. Corr moves into a gallop which seems like a new gait has been invented because he is so fast, and when he runs, Puck realizes Sean cannot lose. Magic surrounds them as they ride, and while Puck's body warns her of the danger, it also screams with life. As they return, Puck admires the beauty of Thisby, and "I suddenly feel I know everything about the island and everything about me all at the same time...
