Part Four Summary

The Lux restaurant is closed, but Remiel comes looking for the owner, the pianist. The owner is Lucifer, who has abandoned Hell, and Remiel is now in charge, along with a second angel, Duma, who doesn't speak. The angels are trying to make Hell a place of redemption. Lucifer implies that Remiel wants him to come back to Hell, so Remiel can return to heaven, and Lucifer laughs at Remiel's suggestion that he might return. Lucifer neither likes nor respects Remiel and accuses him of cowardice for not supporting the rebellion against God. When Lucifer continues to insult Remiel, Remiel spits in his face. Lucifer wipes the spit away, saying that, though he chooses not to, he could destroy Remiel. Remiel leaves without ever broaching the topic he came to discuss, Morpheus.

Meanwhile, Lyta wanders the Dreaming. She asks a girl where to find revenge. She's seeking the Furies. Lyta...
