River Bank

River Bank is an idyllic rural community of animals, including longtime residents Water Rat, Mole, and Toad, plus also new residents Rabbit and Beryl. The animals of River Bank tend to be very friendly to one another, as Rabbit and Beryl are quickly invited to the large Toad Hall for tea with their new neighbors shortly after moving in. Town

Toad happens to be going into Town on the very same train, but with the intention of purchasing a motorcycle there. The elaborate Hiccough-Pemberleigh Motors dealership ("Motor-Cycles for the Gentry") indicates that the Town has a sophisticated economy (63).
