Summary

General Frink sends Lester Holgate—who is also Dr. Blevins’s nephew—to make DODO move faster. Lester sends his reports in self-aggrandizing PowerPoints, one of which Rebecca receives in error. In it, Lester proposes to “aggressively monetiz[e]” DODO by “stirring the pot” (272). For example, on his first day he erases all of Oda’s calculations to encourage a cleaner workspace. His report accuses each of the team members of unprofessional behavior, even claiming Oda exhibits senile dementia. Lester suggests a more aggressive approach to the 1601 London mission despite Erszebet’s derision.
