Part 3, He Who Walks On All Fours: Chapters 49-55 Summary

In chapter forty-nine, Coffey becomes desperate to find a way to open the security doors because the mayor is one of those locked inside, but it becomes obvious they will have to wait for the power to be restored. Coffey then turns his attention to sending a group of men inside. Coffey then tries to relieve D'Agosta of his duty because of his insistence that there is a creature loose in the museum, but Bailey refuses to take charge in his place.
