Finally, when Reuben comes to get Dinah she is able to leave Rebecca. When Dinah returns to the camp she finds it dirty, noisy, and unrefined. Dinah does not get along with her mother when she returns and avoids her whenever possible. Dinah is changing. She is longing to become a woman.
