Summary

The final section of the book begins with Laure writing in a diary. She spends the next few days trying to work up the courage to speak to Laurent. She goes to the bookstore to watch him work, and she even shows up once at his apartment. One day, she finally decides that she’s going to speak with him. She goes into the store and says she's asking for a book about someone who finds a handbag, but runs off before it can be delivered. He knows that it is her. Laurent is shocked, but feels like everything he dreamed about is coming true. Two days later, the two of them are sharing their first kiss at the spot where Laurent had discovered the missing bag. They return to Laure’s apartment, and the book ends with them spending the evening together...
