Summary

Laurent and Dominique attend a dinner together with some of their friends. Dominique isn't comfortable being alone with him. Laurent tells the guests about the handbag, which upsets Dominique. She later breaks up with him, saying they are growing apart and he is clearly obsessed with this Laure. Laurent confirms this the next day, when he mentions that he has a new woman in his life. An author is signing books at his store, and he is able to identify one of the customer’s necklaces that had Egyptian hieroglyphics. Laurent recognizes the hieroglyphics from Laure’s belongings. He brings it to the author, who is able to identify it. It is Laure’s full name written in hieroglyphics: Laure Valadier.
