Summary

In Chapter 31, General Bernard Granger was the commander of the West Luzon Resistance Force. He told Pete and Clay that their job was to inflict as much damage to the Japanese as possible. Granger showed them a cave where they had rifles, ammunition, food, water, and gasoline stockpiled.

In Chapter 32, Pete and Clay were sent on their first mission, one to target a convoy. When the TNT went off, the lead truck was thrown into the air while the third and fourth trucks were thrown on their sides. The guerrillas opened fire, shooting until all the Japanese were dead or injured. One of the supply trucks had not been damaged and the guerrillas commandeered its load of rifles, grenades, machine guns, and TNT as well as rations from another truck.
