Summary

Chapter 18 is titled “Marcus.” He is upset that Grammy Winnie says he will be staying with them because they are strict with him. He is relieved when Zee arrives but his grandmother sends Zee and Gentry away by threatening to call police. Zee urges him not to worry and promises it is only temporary. Winnie is angry when Marcus licks the window screen that separates him from Zee, so he licks it again.

Chapter 19 is titled “Zee.” Gentry has packed a lot of stuff and they arrive at the property he calls Bryn Carreg more than an hour outside Wichita. They are greeted by a man and woman introduced as Edrard and Rosalinda. They are clearly immersed in the medieval lifestyle as well. They are “adorable little gnome people” (135).
