Chapters 8 and 9 Summary

Blue is unchaining her bike when Adam approaches her on his bike. Blue recognizes up close that Adam is different from the other Aglionby boys. Adam apologizes for his friend, but does admit that he wanted to talk to Blue. Blue writes her address and phone number on a napkin and gives it to Adam. After Adam leaves, Donny, Blue's boss emerges with the leather journal that Blue recognizes belongs to Adam's friend.

Blue looks through the journal. She sees there are notes about energy and various other things. She also sees multiple sketches of the same symbol that Neeve and Maura drew. She reads that the drawing is a symbol of invisible lines of energy that connect spiritual places. She also finds information about the Raven king, and legends of sleeping kings.
