Chapters 33, 34, 35, 36 Summary

In chapter thirty-three, Max and Nathan are set to fly out of Roanoke on a private jet. Max waits as long as he can to submit Nathan's passport to the charter service since it is a fake. Max plans to fly Nathan out of the country rather than to Miami as he said. Max is worried that when Customs receives a copy of his passport it will trigger an alert with the FBI. He does not trust them so he does not know what trouble it could bring.

Nathan has already been drinking when he arrives at the airport. Max gives the pilot Nathan's passport without him seeing. The two men begin drinking once on the private jet.
