Chapter 18-20 Summary

In chapter eighteen Covenant and Foamfollower are pulled into a dark cave by mud-like creatures that are creations of Lord Foul although they do not serve Foul. The creatures hope that Covenant is pure and will be the one to free them as it has been foretold by their prophecy. Covenant regrets to inform them that he is not the pure one they seek. The creatures cry but give him the information he will need to find Foul and ask him to believe that he is pure. With the creatures information, Foamfollower and Covenant are able to follow underground tunnels deep into Lord Foul's mountain. They soon come to a pit of lava and Foamfollower puts Covenant on his shoulders and jumps in. Foamfollower is able to make it a large portion of the way across the lava lake before being...
